Sarah Roskrow, formerly of Bishop Monkton who wrote and directed the Entertainment Group's hugely successful drama, Shortcut, has just published a novel. Sarah, who now has now gone back to the name Sarah Brown, writes to say she thinks her friends here might like to read the book.

The novel, Forgiveness, is about life, loss and learning how to live. It is part psychological, part spiritual guide to understanding the nature of conflict and the means of forgiving oneself and others.

Maggie's world falls part when her lover, Patrick, is killed in a car crash. The thing is, he's supposed to be somewhere else entirely. She sets about discovering why he was where he was, and to try and to bring the person who caused the accident to rights. The people she meets along the way bring her to quite a different understanding of life, death and loss.
